Earlier this year, Zeeland Refinery employees came together for the Vitaalloop, an energetic running and walking event held in and around our site. But this wasn’t just about fitness — each kilometre covered helped raise money for Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur Zeeland, a foundation that makes it possible for children and young people from low-income families to participate in sports or cultural activities.

Thanks to the collective effort, we’re proud to have donated €2,500 to this important cause.

A Visit from the Youth Fund

Last week, Dennis Plantinga (Coordinator) and Peter de Doelder (Chairman) of the Youth Fund visited Zeeland Refinery to officially receive the cheque and speak with the Vitaalloop organizing team. They shared valuable insights into how the fund operates and the real difference these donations make.

Dennis Plantinga:
“In total, almost 3,000 children in Zeeland use the fund to access sports or cultural programs. Thanks to Zeeland Refinery’s support, we can now help 15 more children participate for an entire year!”
