Zeeland Refinery, a joint venture between TOTAL (France) and LUKOIL (Russia), proudly marks a significant milestone: the 10th anniversary of LUKOIL’s partnership as a shareholder in the company. Over the past decade, this collaboration has been built on shared core values—reliability, productivity, environmental stewardship, and safety—which have consistently driven the refinery’s performance and progress.

A Symbolic Celebration

To commemorate this decade-long partnership, LUKOIL is making a meaningful and lasting contribution to the region. As part of the anniversary celebration, the company is donating ten white birch trees to the recently renovated Molenwaterpark in Middelburg. The white birch, often regarded as the national tree of Russia, has been chosen as a symbol of LUKOIL’s heritage and the ten years of successful cooperation with Zeeland Refinery.

In addition to the tree donation, LUKOIL is also supporting the park’s redevelopment by funding the installation of a new fountain and a children’s play area, enhancing the park for future generations and reinforcing the company’s commitment to community enrichment and sustainability.

The ceremonial planting of the trees will be carried out by Mayor Harald Bergmann and Alderman Chris Aalberts, together with Mrs. de Muynck of Zeeland Refinery and Mr. Gimaletdinov of LUKOIL. This event symbolizes not only the strength of the partnership between LUKOIL and Zeeland Refinery but also their shared connection to the Zeeland community.
